# Best Automatic Litter Boxes for Small Apartments Source: https://apartmentpetpicks.com/best/best-automatic-litter-boxes Updated: 2026-09-15 Publisher: Apartment Pet Picks. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://apartmentpetpicks.com/how-we-research#our-score In an apartment, the litter box often shares a bathroom, closet, or corner of the living room, so odor and constant scooping are impossible to ignore. A self-cleaning box handles waste after each visit and seals it away, which keeps a small space fresher between deep cleans. We weighed footprint, noise, and how well each unit contains smell in tight quarters. Quiet cycles matter when the box is near where you sleep, and easy waste removal keeps the whole chore down to a quick weekly step. ## Picks ### 1.
