# Best Cat Carriers Source: https://apartmentpetpicks.com/best/best-cat-carriers Updated: 2026-09-15 Publisher: Apartment Pet Picks. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://apartmentpetpicks.com/how-we-research#our-score For an apartment cat the carrier mostly means vet visits, but it needs to store small the rest of the year. A bulky crate that eats closet space is a daily annoyance. We looked for carriers that keep a nervous cat secure and calm, open from the top for easy loading, and fold or tuck away between trips. Comfortable ventilation and a stable base rounded out the picks. ## Picks ### 1.
